Last weekend I visited my equestrian besties in Maryland, and it couldn’t have been more fun! My fellow podcast hosts Claire and Olivia both live there and Taylor drove down from CT. Our friend Connie also joined us all the way from Colorado. We both flew in Thursday, and headed home Monday. We got to watch Claire have a couple jump lessons, Olivia have a dressage lesson, and then Connie and I got to take Olivia’s lovely mare Juliet for a spin. Outside of barn time we ate at a ton of great restaurants, got my all time fave acai bowls, played mini golf, and overall just had an amazing time together. We all met through instagram, and I still feel so thankful to have connected which such amazing people. This post is essentially a giant photo dump of the trip, enjoy!

I was way too excited for this. Still can’t thank Olivia enough for sharing her lovely mare with us!Massive Juliet photo dump because she was INCREDIBLE. I am actually pretty jealous Olivia gets to ride this horse every day- she is even better then I could have hoped for!
If Juliet ever goes missing you can just assume I took her, because she truly is the most fabulous creature! THANK YOU AGAIN OLIVIA!!!
We stopped by a roadside fruit stand Saturday after the barn. Claire got some of the best strawberries I’ve ever eaten.
Olivia’s mom fostered this pup and Claire adopted him last year. He is the SWEETEST thing!!Sunday evening we got amazing Mexican food and played mini golf. Turns out Olivia is AMAZING at it, who knew?
My name is Kelly and I’m a late 20 something who is living the dream of owning a horse as “an adult”. I have officially become the Adult Amateur that I once dreaded as a youth- and I’m loving every horsey moment of it. Over the years I’ve dabbled in most English disciplines, and have firmly landed in hunter land. Now that I am finally living the horse owner dream I chronicle the excitement, disappointment, and general hilarity in this blog.
